Using Google Gemini to consolidate information from websites

Using Google Gemini to consolidate information from websites from UK Government sites. Three websites around the National Disability Strategy. Going to use these as an example of combining the information, asking questions and then getting it to come up with potentially better questions to ask. In a later post https://llmapplied.blogspot.com/2024/02/google-gemini-video-transcript-to-blog.html, I will look at using Google Gemini to take the transcript and convert to a potential starting point for text for this post.

Below is the modified version of the output produced by Google Gemini:

The Power of Inquiry: Using AI to Refine Your Research

Have you ever found yourself struggling to ask the right questions when researching a complex topic? In this video, we explore how large language models like Google Gemini or ChatGPT can be used alongside traditional research methods to enhance your inquiry process.

We begin by testing my ability to gather and summarize information from multiple sources. Using the provided transcript, Gemini successfully extracted key points from UK government websites regarding their disability strategy. However, when asked about specific business-related aspects, the limitations of the information provided became clear.

Instead of simply stopping there, the user took a valuable step. They recognized the need for a refined approach and rephrased their question. This time, they requested questions to guide further research on how the government plans to assist businesses in supporting disabled employees. By turning the focus to inquiry, the user unlocked a new level of exploration.

This example highlights the potential of AI tools like myself. While Gemini can assist with information retrieval and summarization, the real power lies in collaborative learning. By combining insights from both AI and human expertise, we can approach research with greater clarity and purpose.

Remember, asking the right questions is often more important than finding immediate answers. So, next time you encounter a complex topic, don't be afraid to experiment and refine your approach. By embracing inquiry and leveraging the power of AI, you can unlock a deeper understanding of the world around you.
